Where is Dabiq located?

Dabiq is a village in the northeastern Syrian governorate of Aleppo, and it is only about 35 km away from Aleppo. It is a village close to the Turkish-Syrian border, and it is only 45 km away from the Turkish border. The Aleppo governorate is divided into several areas, including: Manbij, Afrin, Al-Bab, As-Safira, Ain Al-Arab, Jarabulus, Tell Rifaat and Azaz. Dabiq is located in the Azaz district, and Azaz itself is divided into several sub-districts, including: Azaz sub-district, which is the center of the region, Suran, Marea, Akhtarin and Nubl. Administratively, Dabiq is affiliated with Akhtarin sub-district, and the population of Akhtarin sub-district exceeds 40000 people, and the district of Akhtarin includes more than forty villages and towns in addition to (Dabiq) from these villages and towns: Al-Azizia, Tal Shair, Abla, Al-Ghailaniya, and others.

This village has a religious status for Muslims, as its name has been associated with a battle that takes place at the end of time, as it came from the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, between Muslims and Romans. This village was mentioned in Sahih Muslim, and he mentioned another name for it, which is (the depths), and he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The hour does not rise until the Romans are descended with the depths or with a long time, so he will come to them, and he will come to them from the time. What is important in this context is not to mention the name (Dabiq) or, as the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, mentioned (the depths). This indicates the importance of this region and its place in the hearts of Muslims, who believe that their Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, does not speak of his desires.

The village of Dabiq also gained fame and great historical value when it was the scene of a number of important historical events in Islamic history. Caliph Suleiman bin Abd al-Malik was buried in this village. ), but he died before this could be achieved, so he was buried there.
