The history of the city of Dalam goes back to ancient times, as its history began from the Stone Age, and there are many monuments in Dalam, including tombs carved into the ground, in addition to the wall and the Dalam Tower in the ancient city of Dalam, whose wall was restored during the reign of King Abdulaziz bin Saud when he opened Riyadh, and there are also huge castles and fortifications that indicate the greatness and nobility of civilizations that resided in the past in Dalam, such as the settlement in which traces dating back to the Byzantine era were found and pottery pieces dating back to the Islamic era were found, and many ancient wells were found around the remains of a ruined castle, and history has proven that Al-Dalam was called in the past Al-Kharj because it is located above the settlement of Al-Kharj, which existed from centuries prior to the birth of Jesus, peace be upon him. The fertility of the land of Al-Dalam and its strategic location is what made it a suitable location for receiving civilizations.
