Ras Al Khair
The city of Ras Al-Khair is considered one of the new industrial cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was established by the Saudi Ma’aden Company, to build a very large number of factories in it, especially mineral factories such as bauxite, as well as aluminum, and other important minerals. The city of Ras al-Khair was known in the past by another name, which is Ras al-Zour, and perhaps this modern name came from the role it plays in supporting the economy of the Kingdom, and thus reducing and combating the issue of unemployment in the state.

The city of Ras al-Khair is located on the eastern side of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the coast overlooking the Arabian Gulf. Where we find it at a distance of eighty square kilometers from the other industrial city, which is the city of Jubail, and in this region we find the sea port of Ras Al-Khair. In the year one thousand four hundred and thirty-two AH, it was announced that the city of Ras Al-Zour was linked with the city of Jubail, through the highway, and work was also done to establish a water desalination plant, as well as to generate electricity in the region.
Projects established in Ras Al-Khair
A huge complex has been established in this city, in order to manufacture aluminum in addition to phosphate fertilizers, and the area allocated for this complex was equal to ninety square kilometers, and this complex includes all the necessary requirements, whether facilities or places of production, and even the shipment of existing gas and oil. In the eastern region of the Kingdom, and this is what made Ras Al-Khair a strategic importance and a logistical advantage.

Ras Al-Khair Port
The Ras Al-Khair region includes an important sea port, consisting of several berths, numbering four, and these berths are designated for the export of all mineral products produced by the factories. Work began in this port in the year two thousand and eleven, specifically in the month of February, that is, three years after the date of start building it; Where this port was established by the Chinese company, Ltd., China Harbor Engineering, and the institution that supervises it is the Saudi Ports Authority, and the cost of establishing this port amounted to about two billion Saudi riyals.
