Pregnancy control pills

Progesterone to stabilize pregnancy

The hormone progesterone is important for pregnancy. It prevents the uterine lining from shedding, and increases its thickness to be more able to contain the fertilized egg that is implanted inside it, and thus progesterone protects pregnancy during the first three months of it. It should be noted that when a woman becomes pregnant, the corpus luteum produces progesterone during the early stages of pregnancy, and continues to do so until the placenta takes over the production of progesterone, after the 8-10th week of pregnancy. This means that progesterone therapy is often a short-term option to reduce the risk of miscarriage and stabilize pregnancy at its beginning. Some studies indicate that low progesterone levels in the uterus increase the risk of miscarriage, although it is not the only reason for miscarriage. According to the World Health Organization; Some doctors prescribe progesterone as a way to help prevent miscarriage in pregnant women.

Dydrogesterone pills

Dydrogesterone is a synthetic hormone similar to the natural progesterone produced by the body, and thus it helps maintain the uterine lining, which contributes to preventing miscarriage in women who have suffered recurrent miscarriage, or women who are at risk of miscarriage.
