Mountain nature

The Himalayan mountain range, in which the summit of Mount Everest is located, is considered a geologically modern mountain, as it is formed from limestone layers, which to this day are still slowly pushing upward, due to movements that occur at the bottom of the land mass of these mountains.

It is noted that the sides of this range are covered with dense layers of snow, but its peaks and some of its edges are completely devoid of these snow layers. This is due to the strong winds blowing over them. It is noteworthy that the climatic conditions of these mountains are absolutely unsuitable for any life on them, whether plant or animal.

Mount Everest is considered the highest mountain peak in the world, with a height of eight thousand eight hundred and forty-eight meters above sea level. In the twentieth century, amateur mountaineers raced to reach the highest peaks of the Himalayas from the northern side, but most attempts failed, and no one succeeded. Among these attempts, especially the British attempts, George Mallory and Andrew Irvine were among the first victims of this pleasure, in the year one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four AD. However, in the year one thousand nine hundred and fifty, Edmund Hiladry and also Tenzing Norgay were able to reach this summit, But from the southeastern side of the Himalayas.
