Zabid Valley
Wadi Zabid is a plain that extends between high mountains in the form of a strip between the plains of Tihama and the eastern mountain range within the Yemeni governorate of Al Hudaydah located on the coast. Wadi Zabid is a plain that extends along the mountains that receive large amounts of rain. It has water and watercourses and lakes are formed, hence the importance of this valley. As it spreads the cultivation of fruit trees and other crops, and our Holy Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, called for the blessing of this plain and the neighboring plain, and indeed there is no land in Yemen more blessed than these two plains.
Yemen was one of the richest countries in the Arabian Peninsula before oil was discovered in these countries. As the land of Yemen was a paradise of paradise, and it was called the Happy Yemen, and it was the first to build dams to take advantage of rain water in the dry season.
Between the two blessed plains, a city called Al-Zubaid city, named after the Valley of Al-Zubaid, was established. This city was characterized by the flourishing of agriculture in all its forms. Man was able to harness the environmental conditions to increase his agricultural production. It is the city of ancient antiquities and science.

The Al-Zubaid region developed a lot during the Islamic eras, and the most prominent points of progress and prosperity was the University of Ash’ar. Muhammad bin Ziyad, accompanied by Muhammad bin Harun Al-Taghlibi, who took over the Dar Al-Iftaa, and the university graduated a number of scholars such as the scholar Al-Hassan bin Muhammad Aqama, Abu Al-Fotouh Ali bin Muhammad and many others The valley region was affected by the historical stages that passed through Yemen, such as: the Ziyadid state, the Najahid state, the Mahdist state, the Mahdist state, and the Rasulid state.

Yemen, like the rest of the countries of the Arabian Peninsula, trade ranked first in the economy of its ancient peoples because of its control over long coastal areas.
