Al-Qassim is a region located in the center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within the Riyadh and Hail plateaus, and the area of ​​Al-Qassim is 73 thousand square kilometers.

Since ancient times, the Al-Qassim region has been distinguished by its strategic location. It has an old pilgrimage route that was used during the reign of the Abbasid caliph Harun al-Rashid. Nowadays, a group of distinguished highways has been established in it that connects it to Riyadh and Hail.

The latest population census statistics for Al-Qassim were conducted in the year 2010 AD to show that the population reached 1.215.858, and that number represents approximately 4.5% of the entire population of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and perhaps the reason for this is the abundance of animal and plant resources, and most of the population works as shepherds of cows and sheep farmers, or merchants.

Al-Qassim is one of the hot and dry areas in the summer, and its temperature in this season reaches more than 45 degrees Celsius, while in the winter it is cold, reaching a temperature of about five degrees Celsius, and that climate helped many plants and trees grow in Al-Qassim.

  • An airport for transporting passengers to and from the region, and it is called Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport.
  • A station for the train that passes through it to reach Riyadh and then to the eastern region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Special services for investors, in solidarity with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the region. One of the most important private investments in the region is Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital, the largest private hospital in the region.
