Temperature control

The production of the tomato plant increases when grown at temperatures higher than 10 degrees Celsius, as it does not prefer frost, and for this reason it is recommended to plant it outdoors in late spring and early summer, and the best tomato production occurs in moderate temperatures, i.e. between 21 - 23.9 °C during the day, and approximately 18.4-20 °C during the night, and some types of tomatoes tolerate high temperatures, in which the production of flowers increases, and the tomato plant grows in all types of soil, especially fertile ones, which contain organic materials, in addition to It can be grown in a wide pH range between 5.5-7.8.

Farming

It is recommended to start growing ready-made tomato seedlings indoors for a period of 6-8 weeks; Given the long growing season, and the requirements of certain temperatures, then transferring them to the garden, and therefore it is preferable to choose plump seedlings that have a straight stem and bright green leaves, and it is preferable that the length of the seedlings be less than 15.24 centimeters, as it is not preferable to choose tall or huge seedlings, Or that already have flowers or fruits, and it is advised to start planting seedlings in small and individual containers instead of growing them on the roofs, as individual containers help reduce the shocks of plant transfer, in addition to choosing seedlings that are free from insects and diseases, and waiting until the danger of frost has passed and the temperature has improved. Soil until it reaches 15.5 degrees Celsius, then transfer it to the outdoor garden, and plant it there so that it is spaced from each other, and this dimension governs the length of the plant and its pruning. For example, it is preferable to plant three seedlings about 45.7-61 centimeters apart from each other, and in rows spaced 1.5 meters at least.
