Good time to plant onions
Onion growth is difficult if it is not planted at the right time for it. If it is planted in cold weather, it can die or consume its energy in flowering instead of growing bulbs in the spring. If onion seeds are planted, they should be placed in a closed place for at least six weeks. Before moving it to the open air, it is worth noting that it must be ensured that it is planted six weeks before the date of the possibility of frost.
Preparing the right place for planting onions
You must choose a wide place suitable for growing onions and it is well connected to the sun's rays, as it will grow and expand if sufficient space is available for it.
To prepare the soil, it is preferable to plow and fertilize it in the fall season, and add the necessary materials to it to make its pH range between 6-7.5 at least a month before planting, and when it is ready, it is plowed to a depth of 15.2 cm, and any weeds are removed in the place.
Laying seeds or seedlings
Holes are dug 25 cm deep to put the onions in them, and they are distributed at a distance of 10.2-15.2 cm between each onion and the other.

Water the onions

Onions can be harvested when the leaves begin to fall and turn yellow. As for what was planted in the spring, it can be harvested in late summer to early fall. It is advised to remove the bulbs from their roots before the leaves die, and ventilate them for two weeks to fully mature.
