How to grill Abu Farwa

  • Bring a kilo of Abu Farwa or whatever you and your family need to eat it. Cut the chestnut with a knife to make small slits in the bean. To grill it, use the oven or charcoal. When using the oven, heat it to 190 degrees, and place Abu Farwa in a tray. Grill it for a quarter of an hour until the skin changes color, then turn it until it is cooked on the other side. As for the charcoal, place it on the grill grate and grill it for ten minutes, turning it from time to time until it is cooked and the color of the skin changes. After that, peel the Abu Farwa and put it in a plate. Serve hot, with butter and honey on the side, and enjoy the delicious taste.

This method does not require a lot of time for the chestnuts to ripen. All you need to do is make slits in the fruits and place them in the microwave for only three to five minutes, stirring them and making sure they are cooked.

  • Two pieces of chicken breast.
  • Four cups of soaked rice.
  • Chicken broth.
  • Ten boiled Abu Farwa pieces.
  • Two grated carrots.
  • A cup of boiled chickpeas.
  • A cup of raisins.
  • Quarter cup of oil.
  • Salt, spices.

How to prepare:

  • Heat the oil in the frying pan and stir the grated carrots for five minutes, then add the soaked rice and stir it also with the carrots, add the amount of raisins and set it aside.
  • Place the chicken pieces in the cooking pot, add the boiled chestnuts and chickpeas on top of it, and finally add the amount of rice, pour an amount of chicken broth over it, cover the pot and pepper it in the normal way you cook upside down.
