How to cook lamb head

Lamb is considered one of the meats that people most want to eat in various recipes. Meat is considered the most important element in many meals, because it gives a delicious taste to all recipes that cannot be skipped or dispensed with. It is also possible to cook other parts of the lamb. As the matter is not limited to its meat only, it is possible, for example, to cook several parts of it, such as: the head, or the entrails, and others that many people like to eat, because they contain many minerals and proteins that are beneficial to the body, which bring benefits to health and prevent diseases.

In this article, we will review one of the simple and easy ways in which it is possible to cook lamb’s head at home. Some people resort to cooking this recipe at home to add their own touches to it, and therefore several steps must be followed.

Preparing the lamb head

  • Two tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • Lamb head (fresh and medium size).
  • Five tomatoes.
  • Three onions.
  • Small spoon of salt.
  • Two liters of water.
  • Two tablespoons of tomato paste.
  • An appropriate amount of food spices, added as desired.

How to prepare

  • We wash the sheep’s head, clean it well, and make sure it is completely clean, especially from the hair that we got rid of.
  • We cut the head into four or six parts as desired.
  • We put the head in the pot (a pressure cooker is often used), and add the amount of water to it.
  • We add the appropriate amount of salt and a few spices to the water, and leave it whole on the fire until it is cooked halfway (half of the required doneness).
  • We prepare a dish that contains an appropriate amount of vegetables, such as: potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, and many other varieties.
  • We prepare the necessary mixture by mixing the full amount of spices together, adding to it tomato paste, lemon juice, and salt, and mixing all of these ingredients well with each other.
  • We dip the head in a plate of vegetables, and season it with the necessary spice mixture.
  • We cover the head with aluminum slices, and put it in the oven for an appropriate period of time, until the taste of the spices fully penetrates it.

We note that despite the delicious taste of sheep’s head, it contains a high percentage of fats, so it is necessary to avoid eating it in large quantities and not to continue doing so so that it does not contribute to increasing the percentage of fats inside the body, which brings many harms to the body, such as infection with some diseases. Diseases such as heart disease.
