Ramadan is the month that hearts yearn for and souls yearn for, the month of mercy and goodness, a month that many ancient and contemporary poets sing about. Here are some poems that rejoiced the arrival of Ramadan:
Rajab has passed and you have not done well in it
This is the blessed month of Shaban
Who wasted time out of ignorance?
With its sanctity, wake up and be careful
You will forcibly abandon your pleasures
And death will force you to leave your home
Correct whatever sins you can
With sincere repentance and make up your mind
To seek peace from hell
The best of those who commit crimes are those who rectify them
The poet Muhammad Hassan Faqi, may God have mercy on him, longs for the month of Ramadan before its introduction in his poem (Ramadan), where he says:
Ramadan in my heart is filled with ecstasy
Before seeing your radiant face
They said you were coming, so I cheered
Our faces are in human beings... and in vanity
And I looked up at the sky
The crescent moon is a month of freshness and prosperity
You yearn for it, in hearts and in prohibitions
Longing for its future, and good hope
Why don't we get lost with fasting and thrive?
With the glory of days and the revelation of heaven
With them, we soar in the clouds and find comfort
Who tortured him and we arrived in the atmosphere
We heal souls and follow a method
Clear it to Gemini pastures

You have a wonderful life

You have great achievements in the lives of Muslims
They were good and they had a good taste
As for the poet “Farid Qarni”, he calls the month to approach and tells him that while waiting for its arrival, he counts the months and days to take advantage of the days and nights of the month, so he says:
Do I not accept guidance, contentment and light?
And abundant goodness covers the counterfeit
We prepare for your season of congratulations
We prepare for the day of your arrival by months
Let us fill with dew the sooty glow
And we narrate the breasts from the age of piety
With the light of the recitation of the Qur’an, my son
Our insights...we illuminate the graves
We fast...we stand up with great longing

They received him after a long absence

And prepare for patience and hardship
The rewards of those who are patient without reckoning
May God reward those who fast because
For his sake they mocked all odds
As for the poet “Hussein Arab,” he rejoices with joy at the arrival of the holy month and shares his joy with the world, saying:

The regions and universes cheered for you
You have bright stars in the sky
There is a place for you, the believing souls

I am overwhelmed by her mesmerizing beauty
In his poem (The Beloved Expatriate), Muhammad Rajeh Al-Atrash celebrates the beginning of the holy month, saying:

Welcome to your happy introduction.. and welcome, good visitor

He extended the month of fasting to the people
So, good news for you, the honorable arrival
Come, come, let us celebrate him
We announce the joy of the Muqaddam
I seek refuge in you from the inclinations of passion
During the fertile season, you must enter ihram
On the thresholds of contentment and peace
Stand for a long time... and do not get tired
If the Lord of Heaven is serious about pardoning
That is sufficient for you as spoils
It is sufficient for you that we have covered the forehead
With Him.. and in His fortress we take refuge
Regarding the virtue of the month of Ramadan, poets had their feelings that appeared in their poems, including the poet “Mahmoud Arif” with verses about the virtue of the month of Ramadan and that it is a sanctuary of worship. And the season of remembrances and bright Tarawih prayers that purify souls, purify hearts, and purify souls, as He says:
Ramadan is the shrine of worship to the Lord
Through it, souls become purer and elevated
It has a bright Tarawih swimming pool
For the heart, for faith, it lives forever
His hours are full of time
In remembrance, where age returned soaring
We read by the poet “Muhammad Ibrahim Jad’a” a poem in which he describes Ramadan as the best of months, and its nights are gatherings of remembrance and recitation of the Qur’an, in which there is good news from the Mighty, Most Merciful, of pardon and forgiveness, in which he says:
Ramadan, the best of months
The best news in time
And the horizons of happiness are fluttering
On your good nights
And forums for forgiveness and piety
Overflowing with everything
And the gatherings of the Qur’an and dhikr
Glory be to God
The poet “Abdul Razzaq Al-Khalidi” urges Muslims to adhere to the true and authentic dimension of the month of fasting, and not just the appearance of abstaining from food, drink, and lust. Rather, he calls for taking advantage of its days and nights in doing good deeds and avoiding evil deeds so that we may attain Paradise. He says:
The month of seclusion has come, so be in it
In obedience, you will be given high standards
Avoid sins and commit to repentance
Your investigation is about distraction and forgetfulness
The cursed one has been humbled and his parties have been chained up
With chains of the power of the Judge
May your month be the month of the lords of piety
Your Ramadan is marked by forgiveness
So take advantage of his nights and honor his days
By fasting from falsehood and from slander
So strain and roll up the sleeve of a bag in it
I am not helpless to follow my desires with my wishes
The month of contentment in which heavens are opened
Its doors are a tribute to the one with gratitude
Do not be led astray from your guidance
It distracts you from remembrance and from the Qur’an
Ramadan is a school and a hospital, so seek
From Him is healing and the approach of contentment
Do not place piety on his days
Stop and then engage in disobedience
When Muslims defeated themselves through fasting, God granted them victory over their enemy in many situations, until the month of Ramadan deserved to be described as a month of victories. Which poets have sung about. The Kuwaiti poet Fadel Khalaf says in the blessed month, the month of victories:
Bashir of conquest and purified victory
Welcome, so we have increased love and companionship
It is the blessed month in which Ezzat is exalted
The lands of the Arabs and Islam are pure
His greatness was greatness, so he was glorious
Glory was the Qur’an and the sword
Since the victory in the battlefields of Badr
And the religion of God is full of flavor and custom
Every land was fragrant in the procession
He was given a gift from his spoils and was more generous
The month of fasting has arrived upon us
The springs of guidance are abundant and compassionate
As for the condition of many Muslims now during the month of Ramadan, it is an unfortunate condition that Khaled Al-Bitar expresses in a state of amazement when he asks (where is Ramadan) and says:
They said: Ramadan came and then passed
The night of slaughter is almost coming
I was astonished at my affairs and their affairs
Ramadan is coming without me knowing?!
I have never been absent from the world
And so - for sure - it did not leave my mind
Wow! How did he come? How did it go?
Or how did the joy of breaking the fast pass?!
Where are the mosques while she was laughing?
Filled with goodness and good news?
As if she was wearing something beautiful
She struts in a crown of pearls
Where are the minarets in their brilliance?
With light and magnification as it flows?
Where is the Tarawih that I love?
And I am stronger in its rak’ahs?
And I'tikaf, how much I miss
Dedicated to God in tithing?
I asked myself after they left
Do you see an explanation for what's going on?!
This is all happening to me
No, what is my business and what is my matter?!
I understood from her that she had hinted
A gentle, fast-paced walker
He traveled homes and did not reside there
Except like the flutter of that bird
He glimpsed the demons that had appeared
In every land there is no cover
He saw corruption and its people gathered
On land I see them and at sea
He refused to stay here and left
He complains as you complain about harm
Welcome Ramadan
Ramadan has come, O people of understanding, so welcome it after a long absence.
A year of our life has passed in heedlessness *** so be careful, for life is a shadow of a cloud
And prepare for patience and hardship *** for those who are patient are rewarded without reckoning.
May God reward those who fast because for His sake they have subjected themselves to all difficulties.
No one can enter Al-Rayyan except one who is fasting *** Honor the chapter on fasting in the chapters
And the Lord protected them from the sea of their day, the smell of poisons and the evil of all torment.
They were given the nectar of salsabil, its flavor of ginger surpassing any other drink.
This is the reward of those who fast to their Lord. *** They will be happy with the best of honor and goodness.
Fasting protects a fasting person from a sin. It forbids immorality and immorality.
Fasting completely suppresses the instincts, and frees oneself from the bondage of one’s neck.
He who does not respect the rights of neighbors, brothers, relatives, and companions will not fast.
He who ate meat out of backbiting, said evil, or sought to cause ruin will not fast.
He who gives false testimony and violates morals and ethics will not fast.
Fasting is a school of abstinence and piety, and the closeness of enemies and strangers.
Fasting is a strong bond of brotherhood*** and a bond of affection for family and friends.
Fasting is a lesson in equality, full of generosity, altruism, and kindness.
The month of determination, patience, patience, purity of spirit, and endurance of difficulties.
How many fasts did those who fasted gain anything other than thirst, hunger and fatigue?
Not everyone who abstains from food is fasting*** and neither is he who abstains from desire and drink.
Fasting is the loftiest goal that has not been achieved by anyone like the Messengers and Companions.
The Prophet and his companions fasted and were free from turning their fast gray with games.
A people who are property or something like it, walking and eating, covered with clothes.
Fasting refined their souls and hearts, so they became the talk of time and history.
They fasted from the world and its temptations*** They fasted from desires and desires
The invaders marched to the enemies, fasting *** during the month of fasting they conquered every expanse
They ruled, but they did not forget about their fasting and standing up to recite and write scripture.
In the forenoon they are masters of their rage *** the pounding of thunders and the flashes of spears
But in the dark they are monks*** crying and sobbing in the sanctuary
Honor them among those who fast and welcome the arrival of the month of hunting and procreation.
