The city of Nablus has been considered one of the large Arab Muslim cities for several centuries, in addition to being a major center for the small Samaritan community. Another on the Nabulsi scene after the October War of 1973 AD; Nablus became a center for Arab opposition against the Israeli occupation, and after the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993 AD, the city came under the control of the Palestinian National Authority.
