Sources of environmental pollution

Pollution sources are divided into two types, which are as follows:

  • Natural pollution, which is a natural pollution that has nothing to do with humans, just as it is difficult to predict when it will occur, such as: volcanoes, sandstorms, and destructive lightning strikes.
  • Industrial pollution, which is pollution resulting from human activities and work, and this pollution falls under three types, gaseous industrial pollutants, liquid pollutants, and solid pollutants.

Types and causes of pollution

  • Water pollution, and its causes: throwing industrial waste into the water, leakage of sewage into it, garbage thrown from ships, weapons experiments and their detonation in the water.
  • Air pollution, its causes, smoke from industrial facilities, means of transportation, and some fumes resulting from the use of some metals such as lead.
  • Land pollution and its causes: leakage of chemicals to it, such as hydrocarbon gas, acid rain, the use of insecticides, atomic dust resulting from nuclear tests, solid waste and waste dumps.
