Henna engraving method step by step

henna

Henna is a type of plant that has many uses. Where it has been used since the days of the Pharaohs; In dyeing hair, in embalming, and in dyeing hands, and even in the Islamic era, it was widely used by men and women; The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to dye his hair and beard with it, and women used to dye their hands with it.

Henna has many benefits for hair and skin, and the use of henna in dyeing hands has remained to this day, but with some changes. As women began to make different inscriptions with it, and do not put it as it is in the hand, and for this we will explain today the method of henna engraving step by step.

Henna drawing method

  • Clean the area that we want to paint on, and make sure that there is no greasy substance (such as: cream, oil, and body lotion), as greasy substances prevent henna from sticking to the skin.
  • The funnel should be held like a pen, with your thumb slightly upward to press down on the funnel and let the henna come down.
  • If we don't have a ready-made henna funnel, it's easy to make one at home. The best material for making the funnel is parchment paper used for baking, as the henna drops easily from the funnel without the henna paper being absorbed.
  • Practice drawing before applying it to the hand. For example, to draw a star, we put five points in the shape of a star, then connect them, and after perfecting the shape, we apply it with henna.
  • To draw other shapes such as roses or write words, we practice them on paper, and then apply them to the skin.
  • To ensure that the henna does not stain the skin, the tip of the henna funnel should be cleaned at each drawing step with the Kleenex.
  • It is possible to use either a person to draw henna and engrave it on our skin, or using hollow adhesives. They are hollow shapes that we stick to the skin and then fill their spaces with henna, and leave them to dry (so as not to stain the areas around the adhesive) and then remove the adhesives.
