The architectural style of this mosque is Persian, and the Blue Mosque is famous for its aesthetic construction and decoration. The mosque was built in 1465 AD during the reign of Muzaffar al-Din Shah bin Yusuf, who was killed and buried in the southern part of the corner of the mosque, which was severely damaged during the Iran earthquake in 1779 AD.
