It is a system designed to remove protection from applications installed by Apple and located in the App Store in order to enjoy all the benefits of those protected applications, and to add new applications whose presence violates Apple’s system and laws.
The first person to unprotect applications on iPhone devices was a seventeen-year-old young man named George Hotz. This young man found a loophole in the system of the first iPhone version in the year 2007, and through this loophole he was able to decrypt many protected applications, and added new applications without returning to the App Store. He also broke the Baseband code, through which he made the iPhone combine Communications chips.
After a short period of time, a team of programmers and developers were able to create a new store containing all unprotected applications, and not linked to any restrictions for any technology company. They called it the Cydia store, which means the insect that attacks apple larvae. This store was complementary to the jailbreak process, meaning that the presence of... Jailbreaking the device necessarily means the presence of the Cydia store.
Jailbreak features

- We can have complete control over the file system and the permissions imposed by Apple through the Finder tool.
- We can download any video from YouTube with ease, regardless of the video size and extension.
Steps to jailbreak without a computer
- We make sure that our device is connected to the Internet in order to begin the steps to download the jailbreak on the iPhone.
- We go to the search engine on the iPhone, Safari, then type the word Cydia.ws, and click on the search command.
- We go to the Cydia application page, then click on the word Install Now.
- We wait a little while until the application is downloaded, and verify the device’s profile files.
- We open the application, and we notice that the jailbreak has actually been activated on the device, and this is evident to us through the appearance of the Cydia icon among the applications installed on the device.
