• Scissors are used to make a small edge at the top of each stick. The edge must be deep enough, measuring between 2.5 to 5 cm. If thin sticks are used, holes must be made instead of notches.
• The thread is wound on the first upper stick, then the thread is wrapped on all sides of the frame, by wrapping it several times on the small edge, and finally any excess threads are removed, and the thread must not be too tight so as not to cause the frame to tilt.

Making the kite cover

The kite cover is made by using paper, cloth, or a plastic bag, and the steps are as follows:

• The width of the material used in the manufacture of the aircraft must be 100 cm, and a plastic bag is used to manufacture this aircraft, as the bag is considered a sustainable material that is easy to decorate.
• The bag is unfolded and the frame is placed in the middle of it.
• The frame is drawn on the plastic bag using a pencil and a ruler, in order to determine the shape of the angles of the kite, as a specific shape is formed after completing its drawing.
• Cut out the shape, but leave 5.1 cm extra on the drawn line.

Kite assembly

The kite parts are assembled by following several steps, namely:

• Glue is used on the inner side of the increase added to the frame, then that increase is bent to the inner area of ​​the kite, and the inner side can be fixed using adhesive tape to ensure that the edges remain stable.
• A string should be used to measure, so that its length is approximately 51 cm, and this string is used to hold the plane when the plane is launched into the air.
• A small hole is made in the bag using scissors at the meeting place of the two sticks, then the flying thread is placed in the front hole and pulled from the other side to tie in the meeting place of the two sticks, and the thread is left to hang, and more threads can be added to make a longer foundation, so that the plane can fly straight .
• The tail of the kite is made of cloth or strings so that it is about 1.8 meters long, then it is attached several times to the back of the kite.
• Some fabrics or ribbons are tied around the tail, as they are approximately 5.1 to 7.6 cm apart. The tail can be decorated using small ties, with a length ranging from 5.1 to 7.6 cm.
• The kite can be decorated by coloring it, writing some words, or the owner's name using different colored pens.

  • In the event that a person wants to make a large-sized kite, the longitudinal wooden stick must be ten centimeters longer than the crosswise wooden stick.
