Method 1

The Eid lamb made of cotton balls and newspaper can be made by following the following:

materials needed

  • Juice drink straws.

How to prepare

  • Bend the newspaper paper to obtain a circular shape of the desired size to make the body of the lamb. More paper can be used to make the shape larger, then fix this circular shape using adhesive.
  • Divide the drink straws into four sections of equal size using scissors to make the legs of the lamb. Then the circular shape is pierced with four holes using scissors. The straws are fixed in the holes using glue and left for a while to dry. The length of the straws can be shortened according to the desired length.
  • The cotton balls are attached to the entire circular shape using glue, and it is left for a while to dry.
  • The lamb's face is made using black cardboard, where scissors are used to obtain small squares that are bent in the middle and then cut in a heart-like shape so that its base is wide instead of being sharp.
  • The lamb's ears are made by following the steps of making the face. In addition to the last step, bending the heart-like shape in half and cutting it to get the shape of two symmetrical ears.

How to prepare

  • The two circles are used to obtain the shape of the lamb's body, where the two circles are placed on top of each other, and the first step is to insert the wool thread through the hole in the middle of the two circles and tie it with a knot, then take it out and reinsert it again.
  • This step continues until the end of wrapping the woolen thread around the two circles and reaching the required size. It is advised not to use all the woolen threads in order to benefit from them in the next step.
  • Scissors are used to cut the wool on the outer edges of the two circles, then a wool thread is used from the remaining threads and inserted between the two circles to make a tight knot, and it is tightened several times tightly around the midpoint between the two circles.
  • Scissors are used again to cut the two circles from the tip, pulled from the ball of wool, and cut the rest of the woolen thread used to make the knot.
  • The shape of the sheep's head and ears is drawn on cardboard or black foam paper. Ready-made templates printed from the Internet can be used.
