Silver hair dyeing process

The process of dyeing hair is done by following the following steps:

  • Start using bleach.
  • Considering that the hair is dry and unwashed, and you can put a little hair oil on it; To strengthen it a little and prevent it from drying out, then prepare the bleaching tools and gloves, and make sure to wear suitable clothes.
  • Apply Vaseline along the hair to protect the skin from the dye, and on the areas to be protected.
  • Follow the instructions on the bleach, and mix it with oxygen (in English: Developer) either in a bottle or in a mixing bowl.
  • Raising the hair to the top, tying the upper part of it, dividing the lower part of the hair into two parts, and tilting the head forward so that it becomes on the shoulder, and it becomes easier to reach.
  • Take one strand of hair at a time, and use a hair dye brush to apply the dye, from the middle to the bottom. It may be necessary to use more bleach, in order to reach the roots, and this process must be repeated for each of the hair strands in the lower part.
  • Start by dyeing the upper part of the head.
  • Put the plastic cap on as soon as you finish dyeing the hair, and leave it for an appropriate period of time as necessary based on the nature of your hair. For some, 10 minutes may be sufficient, but most need a longer time, and the dye should not be left on the hair for more than 30 minutes.
  • Washing the dye with a suitable shampoo (Purple Shampoo), and the shampoo can be left on the hair for about 10 minutes; To get the best desired results.
  • If the session is enough to achieve a sufficiently light color (more whitish) then you can proceed to the next step, if not; You must wait a few days, give the hair a deep treatment, and repeat the bleaching process again.

  • Apply a layer of Vaseline around the hair and face. So that the bleach does not touch the face, as it will leave a clear effect on it, and put a layer of Vaseline or any other thick moisturizer using the index finger on any skin that comes into contact with the hair, in addition to the ears, and the Vaseline will prevent the skin from absorbing the bleach.
  • Do not wash your hair if you do not use bleach before dyeing it. Because unclean hair helps to get the desired color more than clean hair.
  • Apply the toner (in English: Purple toner) after bleaching the hair, and it is likely that the color of the hair after that will be pale yellow, because it is the purple color that will balance the yellow color, and the final result will be closer to neutral white and ready for gray dye.
  • Wear gloves when using the conditioner to avoid contact with hands.
  • Use a toner on wet hair, and if you did not do the bleaching step, use a spray bottle to moisten your hair with some lukewarm water.
  • Apply the purple conditioner using the brush, and if the conditioner is in a bottle, an appropriate amount of it should be placed in a container.
  • Apply the purple conditioner using the brush from root to tip.
  • Start with the hair from back to front.
  • Make sure it reaches all the hair evenly, but if the hair is thick, lift the already wrapped hair to the side to reach the layer underneath.
  • Leave the conditioner for 20 minutes, and the hair can not be covered, but using a plastic cap or any other cover may help prevent bleach from coming into contact with the skin and hands, and after 20 minutes; The conditioner should be rinsed off with warm water, wrapped in a towel around the hair, and blotted of excess water.
  • If you are using permanent hair dye, let the hair dry first. If you are using non-permanent hair dye, start with wet hair.
  • Apply Vaseline again if it was washed while rinsing the conditioner, and apply the gray dye to the hair using the brush that was used for the conditioner, and gloves must be worn to protect the hands from the dye.
  • Leave the dye for half an hour before rinsing, then wash the hair well with warm water. It is preferable that the dye not come into contact with the skin. No need to use shampoo; Because it will affect the color of the hair, but a conditioner for dyed hair must be used.

Note: The types of dye used in hair dyeing differ, so you should always check the dye package to follow the instructions on it before using it.
