Agriculture (in English: Agriculture) is a source of food and fabrics, as cotton, wool, and leather are manufactured. It is also an important source of wood and paper manufacturing. Agriculture is one of the arts in which plants and animals are dealt with.

In ancient times, people sought to obtain food as agriculture was not widespread at that time, as hunting wild animals was their main food, and gradually people were able to learn how to farm, until 2000 years ago most people relied on agriculture, as the necessary natural resources for agriculture were available. Largely, including water and energy resources, which increases the possibility of producing enough food, and it is worth noting that agriculture has an important role in the emergence of civilizations over the centuries.

The importance of agriculture

Agriculture is very important, as it is used for many things, the most important of which are:

  • Important economic resource: Non-developing countries such as India depend on agriculture as a basic resource related to the country's economy, as agriculture is an important food and industrial resource in marketing.
  • Food security: Food security is the provision of healthy food products to all people, and their sufficient availability. FANTA's organization works to organize food security in developing countries, as the organization's work includes improving food security through:
    • Paying attention to several aspects, including political, economic, social, and behavioral aspects, and conducting studies on everything related to these aspects in terms of their impact on the population who face deficiencies in meeting agricultural needs.
    • USAID and its partners pay attention to food security programs, as they work on research and program evaluation, including developing indicators and tools, building capacity for monitoring and evaluation, and assisting in preparing reports and analyzing data, with reference to FANTA's organization, which contributes to providing technical matters.
  • Providing job opportunities: Agriculture provides many job opportunities, by employing agricultural certificates in different fields and not only specialized in farm management, including sales representatives, research scientists, quality assurance, marketing, and engineers. It also has applied fields such as food safety, banking, and health. Public, energy development, and others.

Agricultural tools

There are many agricultural tools that are used in agriculture, the most important of which are:

  • Weed removal tool (in English: Weed Puller): The weeding tool is used to uproot weeds.
  • Roller: The roller works to compress the soil, to remove the air content in it, and a regular roller is usually used for grasslands, to compress the soil due to increased rainfall on it.
  • Axe (in English: Grubbing Axe): The ax is used to remove trees, and the end of the ax is shaped like a wedge.
  • Drag: The rake consists of three axes. It works to rake and move the soil. It may be used to loosen the soil between vegetable crops. There are different forms of axes that are used to confine and uproot harmful weeds.[
