How to dye hair

Hair can be dyed by following the following steps:

  • When starting to dye hair, it is best to read the instructions of the manufacturer of the products used.
  • It is preferable not to wash the hair two days before dyeing.
  • The hair is divided into four sections in preparation for the dyeing process.
  • It is preferable to use a dye-proof jacket to protect clothes from dye contamination.
  • The cream is applied to the forehead and the area behind the ears so as not to cause irritation in those areas if the dye comes into contact with them.
  • Mix the dye well with all its components.
  • A strand of hair with a thickness of three centimeters is pulled from the lower section, and the dye is distributed over it with a specially designed brush. The process continues until all the hair is finished, taking care to stay one centimeter away from the roots of the hair and leave it without dye.
  • The time period for dyeing hair varies from one company to another. Some products require twenty minutes, while others require thirty-five minutes, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Roots: The roots are dyed for the last seven minutes of the dyeing period. Because it takes color faster than the rest of the hair.
  • After the specified period has passed, wash the hair with water and conditioner. It is preferable not to wash the hair for two days with shampoo until the dye sets on it.

  • Natural preparations: These include materials produced from natural plant materials that color hair without significant harm, such as: henna, cochineal, and the peels of some dried vegetables such as: eggplant, onions, fruits such as pomegranate, and herbs such as chamomile and sage. These substances remain on the hair for long periods of more than a year, and are difficult to remove from the hair easily.
  • Manufactured chemicals that contain colored materials, others that stabilize the color, and others that work to remove color to prepare the hair to receive the new color, which are: colored dye tubes, color-removing powder, and oxygen. These preparations are temporary, do not last long, and give infinite colors, but they are not safe for the hair like natural materials.

hair care

Women always strive to take care of their hair and pay attention to it in terms of its length, density, health, and beauty, and color it from time to time so that it looks the most beautiful. Since ancient times, women have colored their hair with beautiful colors that reflect their personality and inclinations using natural materials, but now the markets are full of hair coloring products that manufacturers compete to offer every year, following the trends of fashion and color madness. Women abandoned traditional methods of hair coloring and turned to these well-known preparations despite their chemical composition and their unsafeness for the hair compared to natural materials.
