Natural treatments for sore throat

  • Cinnamon: Soak some cinnamon sticks in some water for a few hours, then boil them, filter them, and drink the solution during the day.
  • Honey: We use honey as a topical ointment several times a day on areas of the mouth affected by fungi.
  • The siwak: We clean the mouth and teeth daily with the siwak, which destroys fungi and bacteria because it contains antiseptic and germ-killing substances.
  • carnations: Boil a few cloves in water, and rinse your mouth with boiled water on a daily basis, in order to cleanse it of bacteria stuck in it.
  • Vinegar: We rinse the mouth with a little vinegar, in order to balance the acidic environment in the mouth and prevent the bacteria that cause fungi from multiplying and growing.
  • Sage: Boil a little sage in a cup of water, and drink a cup of it twice a day, as this helps fight bacteria in the mouth.
  • Sesame tahini: We rub the tongue and mouth with a little sesame tahini in the morning and evening, leave it for ten minutes, then rinse our mouth with water to remove it.
  • Hydrogen peroxide: We rinse the mouth with hydrogen peroxide for at least ten minutes, changing the dose each time, then rinse the mouth with water to remove any traces of hydrogen peroxide.
  • Senna boil: We boil a little ground senna with an amount of water, and drink a cup of it once in the morning and once in the evening, as this method is considered effective in treating fungi caused by stomach congestion.

Medical treatment for throat fungi varies according to the infection and the age of the person affected, but in most cases the doctor aims to prescribe medications to stop the spread of fungi in the throat. The use and description of these drugs vary from antifungal substances or ointments in the case of the mother and her infant, but in the case of adults, capsules are dispensed. It contains effective substances that promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in the digestive system, and increases the rate of absorption of nutrients to prevent their accumulation in the mouth, especially sweets, because they exacerbate the problem, in addition to the use of rinse fluid and tablets given to those with weak immunity.
