Steps to install wallpaper

To install wallpaper, you must follow the following steps:

  • Prepare the wall, by turning off the electricity, and unplugging all the plugs to provide protection since water will be used when gluing the paper.
  • Remove old wallpaper, if any.
  • Clean the wall well, especially if there is any mold accumulated on it.
  • Smooth the wall by filling any cracks in it with special putty, then waiting for it to dry, then smoothing the wall using sandpaper.
  • Apply primer to the wall. This will help the paper stick firmly.
  • Measure the length of the wall from ceiling to floor, then increase 10 centimeters, then cut the wallpaper to this length.
  • Place the paper on the wall and cut 5 centimeters from the bottom, and 5 centimeters from the top.
  • Glue is applied from the back of the wallpaper. If glue is available on the paper, the additional layer is only removed.
  • Start by gluing the paper from the ceiling to the floor, leaving a distance of 5 centimeters from the bottom, and 5 centimeters from the top.
  • To get rid of any wrinkles, you can use a special brush.
  • Paste other wall papers until every wall of the room is covered.
  • Apply glue to the place where the leaves meet and attach it with the seam roller to prevent the leaves from falling.
  • Clean the wall of excess glue 15 minutes after installing the paper.

Wallpaper suitable for rooms

Wallpaper can be installed in the home in any of the rooms. It is also possible to stick it on all sides of the wall of the room or on one side only. It is worth noting that it is not recommended to stick it in wet places such as bathrooms.
