The density of tropical forests, and this situation continued until the seventeenth century, and after that in the period of the industrial revolution, the process of cutting trees for the timber trade took place in a very large way, which led to the removal of those forests, so that Ireland became the largest place in Europe that suffered from that problem, and this led to disturbing the ecological balance on the island; where thousands of species of organisms lived on it, including twenty-six species of mammals that belonged to their original roots on the Irish island.
