The story of the sleeping princess

Once upon a time, there lived a king and a queen in a beautiful palace. Their lives were full of contentment and happiness. This couple did not lack anything in life’s requirements except for offspring. They always wished to have a son.

One day, while the queen was resting. She saw a frog coming out of the water and talking to her, and she told her not to be sad because she would have a baby girl soon. The queen was very happy with what the frog said, and she hurried to her husband to tell him what happened to her and what the frog said to him.

Only a few months later, the frog's statement came true. The queen gave birth to a child who filled her heart and her husband's heart with joy. This child was extremely beautiful, and whenever one of the visitors saw her, he shouted, “Oh, how beautiful she is.” As for his father, the king, because of his great admiration for his child, he ordered that a great baptism party be held for her in the palace. All his friends were invited to it, along with kings, queens, princes, and princesses from all neighboring countries.

The king also wanted to invite the fairies of the kingdom to attend that party. He said: I would like to make them the child’s godparents, bless her with their hands, and give her their gifts

There were thirteen pounds in the kingdom. One of these fairies is an old woman who lives in her house alone. She does not see anyone nor does he see her. The king had twelve golden plates, so he invited only twelve pounds and did not leave the old pound.

After the baptism party ended, the fairies approached the child to offer her their magical gifts.

The first one said, “Your face will be very beautiful.”

The second said, “Your ideas will be great.”

The third said, “My gift to you is kindness and love.”

The fourth said, “Your dancing will be as graceful as that of a pound.”

The fifth said, “Your singing will be as sweet as the nightingale’s singing.”

Thus, each of the other fairies presented their gift, until it was the turn of the eleventh fairy.

So she gave her speech.
And if the door opens. Everyone looked and saw the old pound that the king had neglected to invite.
She points her hand at the child and screams in a voice trembling with anger.
(My gift to this child is when she turns fifteen.
She pricks her finger with a spindle and falls

She said this and quickly left the palace.
She is very angry because they neglected her.

Everyone was terrified when they heard about the evil curse of the pound.

The queen started crying and sobbing. The king did not know how to try to calm her down.

Then the twelfth fairy, who had not yet presented her gift, approached the queen and said:

(Don't cry, Queen, I can help you.
Truly, I cannot undo the evil fairy's magic.
But I can make it light. Low-impact.)

The king and queen heard this saying, and their fear went away.

Thank you, the twelfth pound.

But the king did not want his daughter to sleep for a hundred years.

Therefore, he ordered all the spindles in the kingdom to be burned.
He sent his soldiers to all cities and villages to witness the burning operations.
