Osiris was a just king who ruled Egypt, and his people loved him very much. Because he was a lover of goodness, and because he taught his people agriculture and the love of goodness, and spread justice and decent living during his rule, and he was based in Lower Egypt, which aroused the jealousy of his brother Set, and planted hatred in his heart, and ignited the desire to get rid of him in any way to preside over the government in his place, so he thought With a plot to kill his brother and take the throne of Egypt.

Set prepared a golden sarcophagus encrusted with diamonds exactly the size of Osiris, and prepared a large feast in which he invited many people, and deluded them that he had prepared this sarcophagus to gift it to anyone who fit his size, so everyone tried the sarcophagus alternately until it was Osiris' turn, so he slept in the sarcophagus that was specially made for him, and Set closed the sarcophagus With the help of his aides, he tied him up and threw him into the Nile River, so Osiris died by drowning, and Set took over his place.

The wife of Osiris, Isis, did not accept the fate of her husband, and did not stand idly by to let her husband drown. Rather, she searched for the golden sarcophagus until she found it in Mount Byblos, but Set found her husband's body before her, and cut it into fourteen pieces, and in some accounts sixteen pieces. , And he put every piece in a place so that Isis could not find it, but she was able to collect all the pieces and parts of her husband, and she used magic to return the soul to her husband for a short time, and she bore him her son Horus using magic as well, but it was difficult for Osiris to live like his previous life So he lived as king over the realm of the dead.

Isis hid in the jungles of the Delta and remained out of sight until her pregnancy ended and she gave birth to her son Horus, and raised him secretly with the help of powers until he grew up and became a strong man, and then returned to the valley at Set to demand the return of the throne of Osiris, who became the legitimate right of his son Horus, and many battles took place Between Horus and Set due to the throne, it ended with the victory of Horus with the help of powers.
