Hardwood

It is wood taken from trees that are not evergreen, and that grow over decades, and the mass of wood in them is heavy compared to other woods, and from the types of hardwood:

  • Teak wood: It is one of the best and most valuable types of wood. This is due to its high hardness and great strength. It also contains a small percentage of salts, organic materials, and resins in its fibers compared to other types of wood. In addition, it is not affected by heat and humidity, and can be softened and polished, and its fibers are considered similar in color. It is worth noting that it can be used in luxurious, high-quality works, such as decoration works and furniture manufacturing.
  • Benzoin wood: It is very similar to teak wood in terms of colour, except that it begins in light yellow and ends in red. It is characterized by its ability to absorb moisture from the air. It is distinguished by its moderate price, great abundance, ease of breaking, and light weight, knowing that it is available in thicknesses of 8 mm, 6 mm, 4 mm, and 3 mm.   • Sabbath wood: It is poor quality wood; Because it has a high ability to absorb water, it is manufactured from the remains of artificial wood and natural wood, in addition to glue, which is pressed well, noting that this type of wood is sometimes used. For the manufacture of home and office furniture.
  • Wood (MDF): It is a wood of multiple colors, characterized by its heavy weight and its sensitivity to heat and humidity. It is made using cardboard and glue, then veneer or paper is glued to it, noting that it is used in most types of home furniture.
  • Mesonite wood: It is a wood that is available in several colors, including brown and white. It is used in making the backs of cabinets, drawers, and many other wooden works.
