From a human point of view, marriage is a close bond between a woman and a man to achieve human happiness, if the Islamic and Sharia rules and ethics are properly taken into account. As marriage is the legal way to form a family, while marriage legally is a legal contract that brings together a woman and a man to legalize the ten between them in mercy and affection, and clarifies for each of them the rights and duties. قال تعالى: {وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا عَرَّضْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْ خِطْبَةِ النِّسَاءِ أَوْ أَكْنَنْتُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ أَنَّكُمْ سَتَذْكُرُونَهُنَّ وَلَكِنْ لَا تُوَاعِدُوهُنَّ سِرًّا إِلَّا أَنْ تَقُولُوا قَوْلًا مَعْرُوفًا وَلَا تَعْزِمُوا عُقْدَةَ النِّكَاحِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْكِتَابُ أَجَلَهُ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ Forbearing} (235) (The Cow).

Marriage rule

Muslims before marriage are of three categories:

  • A section that has reasons for marriage and has a moderate or moderate desire to marry; Where he secures himself not to fall into the forbidden in the event that he does not marry, because his instinct does not insist on him falling into the forbidden, and at the same time if he marries he can perform all his marital duties in an appropriate manner; Here, marriage is a definite Sunnah, and the Muslim is rewarded for it.
  • A section that has reasons for marriage, has an urgent desire for it, and is certain that it will fall into the forbidden in the event that it does not marry.
  • An oath that has no lust or instinct, whether due to illness, accident, or since birth; So the ruling on marriage is determined based on what can be achieved from the purposes of marriage other than satisfying sexual desire, such as: psychological and spiritual intimacy, on the condition of being frank before marriage, such as the marriage of the elderly.

Benefits and fruits of marriage

  • It is considered a door of good for the individual and society. It is an application of God’s law and following the example of the Prophet of God, peace and blessings be upon him, that is, marriage is an act of worship for which a Muslim is rewarded.
  • A legitimate way for spouses to enjoy each other and satisfy their sexual instinct.
  • Marriage is a way to earn good deeds, just as satisfying lust through adultery is forbidden, satisfying lust through legal marriage has reward and good deeds.
  • A method for preserving offspring, the human race, the continuation of life, and the reconstruction of the earth.
  • It is considered a way of cooperation between the spouses; As the wife manages the affairs of the house and the reasons for living, and the husband manages the reasons for earning and the affairs of life.
  • It is considered a legitimate relationship that preserves lineages and rights and preserves honor.
  • It strengthens the bonds of love and affection between people, and helps the cohesion of society.

Reasons for delaying the age of marriage

  • Material reasons are as follows:
    • The desire of many girls to marry a rich man; Where the girl rejects many of those who propose to her from the middle-income or the poor, so she grows old and delays marriage.
    • High dowries.
    • Requiring a man to buy luxurious furniture and other things; He turns away from marriage for his inability to meet that.
    • The young man is poor because he does not have any source of income, so he waits until he can provide the requirements for marriage.
  • Social reasons are as follows:
    • The need for a girl or a young man to complete their education in advanced stages of education before indulging in marriage.
    • The country's poor economic conditions and its inability to provide job opportunities for young people.
    • the emergence of vice and immorality; Some young people resort to satisfying their instincts in illegal ways.
