Among what Ibn Nahit said about poetry are the following:
O servant of the two houses, you have charters and covenants from us
- We walk in the path of our ancestors, the way it differs
O ruler, who increases the world by providing
- Love and loyalty to the monastery whose shadows we shade
Conspire against us all, and we are under your command, soldiers
- God then has the monastery that we have not forgotten its virtues
By God, you will not receive between us, sir, a wandering man
- Hanna brave drinkers Balqa Vengalha
And a lot of talk, people said before us, what's in it
