United nations
The United Nations is considered one of the most important global organizations, and it is the mother of other organizations that branch out from it. It is the organization under whose wing all independent countries in almost all parts of the world fall. The United Nations was founded in the year 1945 AD, specifically on the twenty-fourth of October. The United Nations was founded in San Francisco, the American city located in the state of California, but the headquarters of the United Nations today is located in New York City, one of the cities of the United States of America. Its establishment was a result of the conference known as the Dobmarton Oaks Conference, which was held in Washington, DC. There are official languages adopted by the United Nations, and these official languages are six main languages: English, Arabic, German, French, Spanish, and Russian.
The President of the United Nations is the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and he is the one who manages and leads its affairs. Since the United Nations was founded, it has had nine Secretaries-General, including: One Arab Secretary-General of Egyptian nationality, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, who took over the Secretariat-General of the United Nations between the years 1992 to 1996 from birth, but he did not succeed in running for a second term in office, due to the United States of America’s use of the “veto” right, which invalidated and canceled his candidacy. The number of member states in the United Nations is 192 countries from all over the world.

The naming of the United Nations was proposed by US President Franklin Roosevelt, and the first use of this expression was in the year 1942 AD, on the first day of January, and on the twenty-fifth day of April 1945 AD, the United Nations Conference was held for the first time. The conference was held in the presence of a large number of international organizations at the time, and the conference was held in the city of San Francisco, as previously mentioned.
In the same year, the United States of America (the Senate and Congress) requested that the headquarters of the United Nations be located in the United States itself, and the United Nations agreed to this American request. Between 1949 and 1950 AD, land was purchased and the main headquarters was built in the American city of New York. The United Nations headquarters was opened in 1951 AD, on the ninth day of the month January. In addition to the main headquarters of the United Nations in New York, there are many offices spread throughout the world, including: the United Nations office in The Hague, Geneva, Vienna, and Nairobi, in addition to the wide spread of all the bodies affiliated with the United Nations in all parts of the world.
