Its height was increased more than once by installing several antennas on it until it reached a height of 41 meters in 2011. It was used in scientific experiments, in addition to broadcasting television and radio programmes, and other uses.
The construction of the Eiffel Tower began on January 26, 1887 AD, and the construction lasted for nearly two years and two months, with the participation of approximately 50 engineers and approximately 300 workers. As it took about five months to build the foundations, and the rest of the tower took (21) months. Where the construction of the tower was completed on March 31, 1889 AD, and it was officially inaugurated on May 6, 1889. This period is considered standard in construction, given that the tools used and available in that period were primitive and simple when compared to the size of the tower and the accuracy that characterizes the tower. Where the base of the tower consists of four columns in a square shape, and the distance between each column and the other is (125) meters, meaning the estimated area of the base of the tower is (15.625) square meters.

The Eiffel Tower was not built by chance, but it had functions of great importance, including:
- used in broadcasts; This is because it is characterized by a good height, such as: radio broadcasting, television broadcasting, and radio broadcasting.
- The Eiffel Tower is used in the work of many different experiments by engineers and scientists, such as: weather and observational experiments, the fall of free objects, in addition to scientific and practical research.
- It contains restaurants: there are two restaurants in the tower to provide services to visitors, namely: “Altitude 95” restaurant, which is located on the first floor, and “Le Jules Verne” restaurant on the second floor of the tower and has an elevator.
- The tower is used in lighting and lighting operations; It contains twenty thousand light bulbs, forty thousand electrical connections, (230) electrical boxes and panels, and (10.000) square meters of electrical safety nets.
