The Portuguese euro is the official currency of the Republic, as Portugal joined the European Monetary Union in 1998 AD, and its economy is based on various sectors and services that have increased since its accession to the European Monetary Union, as most of the imports coming from the European Union come from: Germany, Spain, Italy, and France , and the United Kingdom, while most of its exports are exported to the rest of the member states of the European Union.
Among the main industries on which the Portuguese economy is based: cement, petrochemical industry, shipbuilding, oil refining, textile, machinery, paper, cork, furniture, and food industries.

- Obidos: This village is located in the Lisbon district, and it is characterized by its beauty and attractiveness. King Denis Obidos gave this village to his wife, Queen Isabel, in the thirteenth century, and she loved it greatly, and was very impressed with it.
