There is a problem with the body’s functions and internal organs, as dark circles appear under the eyes, their color tends to be black, and their shades vary according to the color of the skin.

It is known that the bottom of the eyes is a very thin layer of skin, devoid of fats and glands, so it is the only area that reflects the color of the blood, and its blackness indicates the presence of a turbid color in the blood, and the severity of its blackness means that the blood is loaded with toxic gases such as carbon dioxide, and the blood often gets rid of it. It replaces it with oxygen, and thus the degree of dark circles gradually decreases, so that the under eyes return to their natural color. There are many reasons that lead to the appearance of dark circles, which we will mention in this article.

Causes of blackness under the eye

  • Most of the prevalence of circles under the eyes is due to genetic factors.
  • Low blood pressure level.
  • Loss of a quantity of blood in a pregnant woman, and during childbirth due to anemia, and if she does not compensate for the lack of iron in her body through iron-rich foods such as vegetables, liver, meat, nuts, spinach, and honey, or by taking vitamins and iron medications, this leads to the appearance of dark circles. .
  • Loss of an amount of blood during the menstrual cycle for both girls and women.
  • Stress, fatigue, nervousness, decreased number of normal sleep hours, disruption of sleep time, and constant staying up late.
  • Excessive use of cosmetics.

Tips to follow when dark circles appear under the eyes

  • Conducting laboratory blood tests.
  • Measuring blood pressure and the results of a blood test by an internal medicine physician.
  • Get enough sleep, at least eight hours a day.
  • Take adequate rest while working and relax from time to time, and do not stress the body beyond its capacity.

  • Cut a fresh cucumber into circular slices, place it on the eye area and the skin surrounding it, and sit quietly for a quarter of an hour.
  • Squeeze a fresh cucumber, mix the resulting juice with a little fresh lemon juice, and apply the mixture around the eyes.
  • Cut a fresh potato into circular slices, place it on the eyes and leave it for a quarter of an hour.
  • Apply compresses of mint juice around the eyes.
  • Mix a teaspoon of almond oil with the same amount of mint juice, and apply the mixture around the eyes.
  • Place warm tea compresses on the eyes and leave them for ten minutes, then replace them with cold tea compresses and leave them for five minutes.
