They also play a role in ventilating the nasal cavity, and it is noted that these sinuses are filled with air. It is in the area surrounding the eyes and nose.

It is referred to as sinusitis and can be defined as the openings between the sinuses and the nose being closed and blocked, which causes a person to feel congestion and symptoms similar to a cold and inflammation of the mucous membrane lining the sinuses. This occurs as a result of the accumulation and retention of air with mucous secretions that cause an increase in the level of pressure inside the sinuses.

  • Change in body temperature.
  • Feeling severe pain affecting the face and the area around the eyes.
  • Stuffy nose and congestion.
  • Nasal gonorrhea and discharge.
  • Pain in the teeth and upper jaw.
  • Hearing disturbance.
  • The eye is affected and sometimes blocked.
