Story and a lesson

One of the masterpieces of the Prophet's stories

One day the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) stayed as a guest of a Bedouin man, but the man did not believe himself that his guest was the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace).

The Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) was amazed at the generosity of this Bedouin, so the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) was only asked to come to him after that to reward him. Days passed and this Bedouin was exposed to a great financial crisis

He remembered that the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace) had asked him to come to him to reward him and reward him, so he went to him and asked permission to enter upon him (may God bless him and grant him peace). He complains

So what was the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) except that he said to him, O Bedouin, ask for what you want, and the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) thought that he was asking the Messenger of God to pray for him to have his sins forgiven or to enter Paradise, but this Bedouin said, “O Messenger of God, I want a camel with its saddle, so we can ride it.” And we travel on it, so the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) grieved because it was an opportunity for the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace) to pray for him.

Then the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) said to this Bedouin: “Are you incapable of being like the old woman of the Children of Israel?” The Companions said: O Messenger of God, and what is the old age of the Children of Israel?

The story begins from the days of Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him).

When Youssef became the dear of Egypt, and after that he felt that his death was near, he said: “My Lord, you have come to me from the kingdom and taught me the interpretation of hadiths, the Creator of the heavens and the earth.

And here, the Prophet of God, Joseph (peace be upon him), took the covenant and covenant on the children of Israel upon his death, that if they left Egypt, they would take his body to bury it in the holy land of Palestine.

Joseph, peace be upon him, died, and the Children of Israel could not take his body from Egypt. When the Prophet of God sent Moses (peace be upon him) and went to Pharaoh to invite him to worship God, Pharaoh refused and went out with his army behind Moses and those who believed with him. While Moses, peace be upon him, was on the way with his people when they lost their way, so he asked Moses for the reason

They told him: Joseph, peace be upon him, had taken the covenant to take him to the Holy Land

Musa said: Is there anyone who knows his place? They said that no one knows his whereabouts except an old woman from the Children of Israel, so they brought her to the Prophet of God, Moses, and he said to her, “Leave me to the tomb of Joseph (peace be upon him).” She said: “I will not guide you to him unless you fulfill my request.” She asked for it because he saw that this work is not equal to being with him in heaven

But God inspired him to give her judgment and to tell her that God fulfilled her wish, so she showed them the tomb of Joseph (peace be upon him), and when they found it, the way was lit for them.

This is the old woman of Israel whom the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, intended
