Work steps

  • The upper part of the plastic bottles is emptied in the form of a rectangle extending along one side of the plastic bottles.
  • The bottom of the plastic bottles is pierced with a pointed nail, taking into account the distribution of holes in the various areas of the bottom of the bottles in order to ensure that excess irrigation water comes out of it.
  • The inner cavity of the plastic bottles is filled with soil up to three-quarters, and ornamental plants are planted in the middle of it, taking into account that they are watered periodically and continuously.
  • Plastic bottles are tied at both ends with strong strings, and hung horizontally in the yard of the house, whether on tree branches, window guards, or others.

Turn plastic bottles into newspaper and book holders

materials needed

  • A set of plastic bottles, preferably family-sized bottles.
  • Sharp scalpel.
  • Strong adhesive glue.
  • Collection of books and magazines.

Work steps

  • Remove the covers of the plastic bottles and clean them well from the glue residue on them.
  • The upper part of the plastic bottles is removed transversely using a sharp scalpel.
  • Clean the inside of the plastic bottles and then allow them to dry.
  • Plastic bottles are sprayed with spray paints, and it is possible to use a unified color for all of them or a specific color for each of them, with a diversification of their colors between the inside and outside of their cavity, then they are left to dry.
  • Plastic bottles are lined up next to each other or around each other, and they can be lined up so that they take a specific shape such as a rose or a star, then stuck together using adhesive glue and left to dry.
  • The resulting plastic bottles are filled with books and magazines, after wrapping them in the form of cylinders.

Converting plastic bottles into boxes

materials needed

  • A group of plastic bottles, provided that all two plastic bottles are the same size and shape.
  • A set of wide zips with a length equal to the circumference of plastic bottles.
  • Strong adhesive glue.
  • Sharp scalpel.

Work steps

  • The bottom part of the plastic bottles is separated from the rest of its parts crosswise using a sharp scalpel, while keeping the bottom part of it, and getting rid of the rest of its parts.
  • One side of the plastic zipper is attached using adhesive glue to the outer end of one of the resulting plastic bottles, then left to dry.
  • The plastic zipper is opened and the other side of it is attached to the outer end of the plastic bottle that matches it in shape and size, then it is left to dry.
  • The previous steps are carried out with the rest of the plastic bottles.
  • The plastic bottles are allowed to dry, then the zips are closed so that the plastic bottles form boxes.
  • The resulting boxes are used to store sweets, chocolate bars, or even accessories and makeup.
