Manicure steps

The following are the steps for applying manicures that are followed in salons, where it is possible to dispense with going to the salon and get the same result at home:

  • Nail cleaning: You must start with clean nails, and get rid of the remnants of the old manicure by removing them through one of the previously mentioned methods.
  • Nail filing: A soft nail file can be used to file them in the appropriate or usual way, as the basic shapes of nails vary from square and round to oval, which suits most people.
  • Soaking hands in a moisturizing solution: Hands are soaked in a warm solution of soapy water for ten minutes to soften the skin around the nails, then the hands are dried and moisturized with cream, then placed in a cotton glove for another ten minutes, and the hands are dried with a towel.
  • Getting rid of excess skin around the nails: Using a pointed wooden stick to push the skin around the nails, being very careful not to harm the skin.
  • Cleaning under the nails: With a pointed wooden tool.
  • Moisturizing hands with moisturizing cream.
  • Preparing the nails for the manicure: Wipe it to make sure there are no leftover moisturizer or oils.
  • Manicure mode: It is recommended to apply manicure on the nail three times, the first being a line in the middle of the nail, and the remaining two times on each side of the nail. A second layer of manicure can be added if necessary after the first layer has completely dried, then a transparent layer of manicure is added to protect the manicure and perpetuate its life.
  • The manicure can be renewed weekly.
