Location and boundaries

Lake Constance is located in the heart of the European continent, and is surrounded by three countries, namely the state of Germany that borders it from the northern side, the state of Switzerland that borders it on the south side, and the state of Austria that borders it on the eastern side, and it rises from sea level by three hundred and ninety-five meters, and its depth varies from place to place, as its middle section is the deepest.

The Rhine River is considered one of the most important rivers that flow into this lake, as it enters it from the southern side, specifically from the border point between the state of Austria and the state of Switzerland, and exits from the western side, heading to the German state, to reach the state of the Netherlands, where it flows near Rotterdam, specifically in North Sea.

The area on which Lake Bodensee is located is one of the most important tourist areas in the German state, because of its dazzling beauty, as it is surrounded by the Alps, to be a place loved by tourists who visit it every year, bringing the number of its visitors to nearly six million tourists, enjoying times of rest and recreation, especially And that it has a small island known as Maina Island, and it is famous for its abundant flowers that give the lake a special luster.
