The camel is a singular form of camel. It is an animal that lives in the desert and belongs to the order of the artiodactyl camelids. It is famous for the fat mass on its back called the hump, and its body is covered with fur. The term camel is also applied to real camels such as: two-humped camels and Arabian camels, in addition to the four semi-camels that live in the desert. South America: guanaco, llama, vicuña, and alpaca. Allah says: (Do you not look at the camels, how they are created) Surat Al-Ghashiya, Verse No. (17).

The camel's baby teeth begin to appear shortly after birth, and the first to appear are the folds in the lower jaw during the period after birth until they are two weeks old, then the quads appear in the period from two weeks to one month of age, and during this period the three front molars begin to appear. The upper one in a row, in addition to the two front molars in the lower jaw.

During the period from one and a half to two months, the teeth of the lower jaw appear, then the canines in the lower and upper jaw. As for the incisors of the upper jaw, they appear during the period from two to four months. All the baby teeth are completed when the child reaches the age of six months, and their number on the lower and upper jaws reaches (22). Their teeth are distributed as follows: in the lower jaw there are six incisors, four molars and two canines, and in the upper jaw there are two incisors, six molars and two canine teeth.

Permanent teeth

Permanent teeth begin to appear when the camel reaches the age of one year until it reaches the age of one year and three months. They begin with the appearance of the first molar of the last molars in the lower and upper jaws, then the second molar follows at the age of two and a half years until it reaches three years, and the folds in the lower jaw change to Permanent folds when he reaches the age of four and a half years until the age of five years, then the third molar appears from the permanent molars in the same period, then the two front molars in the upper jaw change to permanent ones (the second and third molars), and the second molar from the lower jaw when he reaches the age of five years until Age five and a half years.

The two quadrants of the lower jaw change at the age of five and a half to six years, and the canines and incisors of the upper and lower jaws change at the age of six and a half until the age of seven years, then the first molar of the front molars of the lower and upper jaws at the age of seven years until the age of seven and a half, and thus the teeth are completed. Permanent at the age of seven and a half years, their number is 34, distributed as follows: in the upper jaw there are two canine teeth, two incisors and twelve molars, and in the lower jaw there are two canine teeth, six incisors and ten molars.
