How to make glue

Corn syrup glue

This glue can be made for use in times of need by following these steps:

the required materials

  • A cup and a half of water.
  • Two tablespoons of light corn syrup.
  • A teaspoon of white vinegar.
  • Half a cup of cornstarch.

How to prepare

  • Pour three-quarters of a cup of water into a medium-sized bowl.
  • Add both corn syrup and vinegar.
  • Raise the mixture on the fire until it boils.
  • Mix the remaining cold water with the starch well, so that no clumps remain.
  • Add the starch to the mixture gradually by stirring, and let it boil for one minute.
  • Leave the mixture until it cools.
  • Place the mixture in a bowl, cover it, and wait for at least a day before using it.

Milky white glue

Milk contains a protein called casein, which gives glue its adhesive property, but not in its liquid state in milk. To activate this property, vinegar is used, so that the casein turns into a solid substance:

the required materials

  • 59 milligrams of milk with a fat content of 2%.
  • A tablespoon of vinegar.
  • baking soda.

How to prepare

  • Heat the milk with vinegar, but do not boil.
  • After heating it, the milk curdles and looks like homemade cheese, and these lumps must then be filtered.
  • Add a little baking soda to the assembled blocks until the desired glue consistency is obtained.
  • Note: This glue takes several hours to dry when used.
