The medical profession is one of the noblest and most honorable professions, this humanitarian profession in which those who carry compassion in their hearts work, and walk around like angels in their white robes, noble smiles, and good morals, relieving the patients of their pain, sorrows, and illnesses, planting a smile on their faces, and watching over their comfort, so that the eyes of the doctors do not sleep. Before checking on those who are sick and making sure of their safety, they consider half of a person’s recovery to be half the kindness of their souls, which are like a balm, their great humanity, and the gentleness of their hearts.

The medical profession has been known since ancient times, where in the beginning a person used to treat himself with various tools that were helpful to him at the time, and then there became people specialized in this profession who sought to try to heal every patient, while using modern devices that helped them to do so, and giving patients the appropriate medicine for their conditions, without... In this profession, life would have been hell, and people would not have been able to continue their lives normally, and diseases and epidemics would have spread among societies. Medicine is constantly evolving to protect people from everything that could harm their health, and to bring joy to their hearts when those they love are cured of diseases that might threaten their lives. As Mustafa Sadiq Al-Rafi’i - may God have mercy on him - said: (The wise doctor does not keep pace with the sick person, but rather looks at the cause.)How great is this profession and how beautiful is the heart of those who work in it!

The doctor gets tired, stays up late at night, and works hard in his studies, which last for seven years and vary depending on the academic degree that the doctor seeks, while the branches of medicine vary between dentistry, heart surgery, nerves, bones, joints, glands, and other branches. Then the doctor graduates as a person who is patient with those he treats, compassionate towards them, standing in order to support them and offering a helping hand to them in all circumstances and with all his ability, through his compassion and gentleness in his words, and his good management and intelligence when diagnosing the patient’s condition and dispensing the appropriate treatment for him, in addition to his risk in his life. And exposing it to danger in order to save patients in cases of war and disasters. The medical profession, as it is said about it: (The medical industry is an effective industry, based on honest principles, seeking to preserve the human body and eliminate disease.)How deep is the position of the doctor and how great are the meanings that this profession carries and spreads!

The role of doctors and nurses is highlighted in the most severe humanitarian crises, such as wars, global epidemics, and others. You see them coming to the aid of their fellow human beings despite the dangers they may be exposed to, and the difficulty they may face in being away from their families and loved ones for weeks or even long months or years. However, that does not stop them from Their humanitarian duty, as medicine is a noble profession that deserves what its owners do for the sake of saving and protecting humanity.
