Close the Facebook page via browser

The user can permanently close and delete a page via Facebook if he is an administrator (Admin) on it, and the following are the steps to do this on the user's computer:

• Click on the Settings option that appears at the top of the Facebook page that you want to delete.
• Choose a General option.
• Click on the Remove Page option.
• Click on the Delete option that appears next to the page name.
• Click on the Delete Page option.
• Click on the OK option.

Note: The process of closing the page and deleting it completely requires a period of time of up to fourteen days in order to complete it, and during this period it is possible to cancel the process of deleting the page by entering it, then clicking on the Cancel Deletion button.

Close the Facebook page via the app

The following are the steps for the user to close a specific page via Facebook and through the application for mobile phones, and to complete these steps, the user must have the Admin role on this page:

• Open the Facebook application on the user's phone.
• Log in to the user's account, if required.
• Click on the three lines icon that appears on the application screen.
• Choose the My Pages option on iPhone phones, and click on the Pages option on Android phones.
• Clicking on the name of the page that the user wishes to close and delete through the application.
• Click on Edit Page.
• Open the page settings menu by clicking on the Settings option.
• Choose the General option that appears at the top of the list.
• Go to the Remove Page section.
• Clicking on the “Permanently delete” option that appears next to the name of the page to be deleted and closing it.
• Click on the Delete Page option.

Verify page user permissions

A page on Facebook can only be closed by the persons responsible (Admins) in it, and the following are the steps to find out if the user has the role of administrator on a page he wants to close on Facebook:

• Go to the user's Facebook account, and through his computer.
• Choose the Pages option.
• Click on Your Pages.
• Click on the name of the page you want to delete and close it.
• Click on the Settings option.
• Choose the Page Roles option, then check that the user's name is in the list of people responsible for the page.
