Another mosque except for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, for Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: ”

كما عُرج بالنبي صلى الله عليه وسلّم من المسجد الأقصى إلى السماوات العلا بعد أن صلى جماعةً بالرسل والأنبياء في حادثة الإسراء والمعراج، قال تعالى في سورة الإسراء ” سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَىٰ بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلًا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى الَّذِي بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ The All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.” Therefore, the Muslims’ attachment to Jerusalem is not a matter related to transient matters, but rather an ideological attachment that derives from religion and the heavenly message.

Location

Jerusalem is located in the heart of Palestine, on an uneven plateau, with a height between 2130 and 2469 feet, at latitude 31.52 and longitude 35.13. It is 55 km from the western Mediterranean Sea, while it is 22 km from the eastern Dead Sea, and 26 miles from Jordan River, 1150 m above sea level.

History

Jerusalem is considered one of the unique phenomena among the cities of the world, as Muslims, Christians and Jews revere it; Because each of them has religious reasons that urge them to do so, and this is what made it an area of constant conflict, so everyone is trying to control it and annex it to their country.

Jerusalem has been subjected to demolition and reconstruction many times, reaching 18 times, and the first history of Jerusalem goes back to Elijah bin Aram bin Sam bin Noah, peace be upon him, where the name Elijah is one of the names that were given to it, and it was said that the first person to build it was “Malek Sadiq,” one of the kings The Jebusites in the year 3000 B.C., and it was called Yabous, and Malik Sadiq was called the King of Peace, as he was pious and peace-loving.

The city of Jerusalem contains Mount Zion, or the so-called Mount of David, which is sanctified by the Jews, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, which is sanctified by Christians, in addition to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which has a special status for Muslims.
