How to delete windows 8
If the Windows 8 operating system is installed with the dual boot of Windows 7, Windows 8 can be uninstalled and removed from the computer and the old operating system can be activated through:
- Restart the computer and select the old operating system.
- Click on the Windows key from the Windows 7 operating system, select (msconfig), then click on Enter.
- Click on the Boot tab, then select the Windows 8 boot entry option, and click on the Delete button.
- Click on the OK button to save the settings.
- Click on the Exit without restart button.
- Click on the Windows key and type Disk management, then click on Enter.
- Right-click on the Windows 8 partition on the Disk Management screen, then click on Delete Volume, and Windows 8 will boot directly.
How to delete windows 8 after installing windows 10
To install Windows 10 on a computer and want to delete the old Windows 8 system to make room in the storage unit on the device, the following steps can be followed:
- Run the search bar on the computer and print Disk Cleanup from it, then click on the Disk Cleanup option that appears in the search results.
- Go to the Disk Cleanup tab, select all the temporary files that appear under it, and start cleaning them.
- Click on the Clean up system files tab at the bottom of the screen, and select the drive from which you want to scan Windows systems.
- Windows will scan the device’s system and display a list of files to be deleted, including Previous Windows installation.
