Lotfi Zaghloul

Lutfi Zaghloul is a well-known Palestinian poet. He was born in the city of Nablus in Palestine in 1938 AD. He is the eldest son of the late famous Palestinian poet, Abd al-Latif Zaghloul. Lutfi grew up in the city of Nablus, and studied in its schools until he entered the university, and obtained a BA in political history. He also obtained a higher education diploma, and completed his education to obtain a master's degree in educational sciences, specializing in the design of educational curricula. After that, he became a member of the advisory board of the General Union of Palestinian Writers in Jerusalem, and president of the Classical Poets Forum in the Encyclopedia of Arabic Poetry.

  • In 1995, he received a medal from the Ministry of Education as an appreciation for his literary efforts.
  • He received a certificate of appreciation from the Palestinian Ministry of Culture, in appreciation of the ministry for winning his anthem (Ode to Freedom); Who represented the Palestinian state in the Arab world in 1996 AD at the Arab Child Song Festival, which was held in Jordan.
  • He received two certificates of appreciation in 1996 from Operation Smile.
  • In 2006, he received a shield from the Palestinian Ministry of Education as an appreciation for his poetic efforts in 2005.

The poet wrote a lot of poems and prose, in which he dealt with a lot of topics, so he spoke mostly about homeland and freedom, and in some of them about women, and about Nablus, the city in which he was raised, and about love, and among his publications are the following:
