Hatim al-Tai

And Hatim bin Abdullah bin Saad bin Al Fadel bin Imre’ al-Qais bin Tai’ al-Ta’i. As for his nickname, historians differ in determining it between Abu Uday and Abu Safana, and his lineage goes back to the Tai tribe, which is one of the Arab tribes that were present in the north of the Arabian Peninsula, and which settled in the country Al-Jabalain, now known as the Hail region, is located in the northern regions of Saudi Arabia, and the region until now contains the palace of Hatim Al-Ta’i, his tomb, and many of his personal items.

Hatem Al-Taie was known for his quality, as the Arabs set the example for him with generosity and giving, and he inherited his generosity from his mother, who is Utbah bint Afif bin Amr bin Akhzam, who was famous for her generosity, ease of her condition and generosity, as her brothers worked to deprive her of her money in order not to lose it from a lot of waste, as he visited Hatem Al-Taie Bilad al-Sham during his life and his marriage to Mawiyah bint Hajar al-Ghassaniya, who is known for being one of the most important pre-Islamic poets, and in addition to his generosity and giving, he was one of the most important pre-Islamic poets of his time, which helped spread his reputation among the Arabs.

Hatim Al-Taei was very generous in poetry and spending, and was distinguished by the truthfulness of his speech, his strength, and the intensity of his tyranny in fighting, as he used to defeat everyone who fought him, and he did not respond to a beggar or the poor, so that he would release everyone who fell under his captivity and prevent himself from killing in the deaf month, which is The month of Rajab, and out of the intensity of his generosity, he used to slaughter ten camels per day, gather people on them, and feed them to them.
