Reducing images in Photoshop using the Image Size option

Users can reduce the image size (Resize) through Photoshop using the Image Size option, by following these steps:

• Open the image in Photoshop.
• Clicking on the Image option located in the menu bar at the top of the program page, then clicking on the Image Size option to open a new window containing options for changing the image size, in which the following can be changed:
  • The length (Height) and width (Width) of the image according to the desired dimensions.
  • Units of measurement to desired units, type: cm, inches, or pixels.
  • Image resolution (Resolution) to a value less than 300 pixels / inch if the image is not used for printing.
• Select the Constrain Proportions option to maintain the proportion between the image dimensions.
• Select the Resample option to change the image size or resolution without changing the total number of pixels to adjust proportionally.
• Click on the OK button when done.

Reducing images in Photoshop using the Crop option

Users can reduce the size of the image through Photoshop using the Crop Tool, by following these steps:

• Open the image in Photoshop.
• Clicking on the Crop option in the tools menu next to the page to show the crop borders around the image.
• Drag from any edge or corner to adjust the size and shape of the cropping stroke.
• Drag inside the crop border to place the image inside the border.
• Drag the corner of the crop stroke to rotate the image horizontally, vertically, or make it flat.
• Click on the Enter button on the keyboard or click on the check mark in the options bar at the top of the page to save the changes.

Reducing images in Photoshop using the Transform option

Users can reduce the size of the image through Photoshop using the Transform option, by following these steps:

• Open the image in Photoshop.
• Click on the shortcut (Ctrl + A) from the keyboard on computers running the Windows operating system, and (CMD + A) from the keyboard on computers running the Mac operating system to select the entire image.
• Click on the shortcut (Ctrl + T) from the keyboard on computers running the Windows operating system, and (CMD + A) from the keyboard on computers running the Mac operating system, or click on the Edit option, then click on Free Transform option to transform the image.
• Drag the edges of the image to convert its size to the required dimensions.
• Clicking the Enter button on the keyboard.
