The Earth's atmosphere is made up of gases and chemical compounds in specific proportions that protect the Earth from harmful solar radiation. The atmosphere is the basic and important factor in the emergence of life on Earth, as the movement of natural phenomena that take place in the atmosphere leads to establishing homogeneity in the proportions of gases in space. Scientists divided the layers of the atmosphere into the following layers:

  • troposphere layer : It is the layer closest to the Earth’s surface and has the greatest influence on the Earth.

The troposphere is the closest layer of the atmosphere to the Earth. The origin of the word troposphere is Greek, which means variable, and it is the most important for the surface of the Earth. It is called the climate layer because all climate phenomena such as rain, fog, wind, clouds, humidity, and atmospheric pressure occur in this layer. This layer also contains most of the water vapor distributed throughout the Earth. the weather.

The sun's rays penetrate this layer to the Earth and work to heat it. The rays are reflected from the Earth's surface to heat the air in space, and the temperature in the troposphere decreases as we rise to the top. The most important thing that distinguishes this layer is the high percentage of ozone gas, and ozone gas is responsible for absorbing the ultraviolet rays emanating from the sun, and these rays are deadly. If it had reached the Earth, it would have annihilated living creatures, but due to the greatness of the Creator, Glory be to Him, and the precision of His workmanship, everything was arranged for life to exist on the surface of the Earth.
