Zanzibar or (Zanzibar) consists of a group of islands located in the Indian Ocean on the eastern side of the African continent

The name Zanzibar refers to an Arabic term consisting of two syllables, Zanj and Ber, meaning the land of the Negro race, which is the human race that lives in Africa.

The islands of Zanzibar are also called Anguja in the local Swahili language of the indigenous islanders

The Zanzibar Islands group is officially affiliated with the country of Tanzania in East Africa, but it enjoys semi-autonomous rule.

Zanzibar is a group of 52 islands, the largest of which is Zanzibar Island, followed by Pemba Island in size. It also includes other famous islands such as Mafia Island and Tombatu.

The second largest island in the Zanzibar Islands group

It is 78 km long and 23 km wide. Pemba Island is distinguished by its fertile sandy soil, and it is famous for growing coconuts, cloves, rice and bananas.
